"Your paws are amazing, and in most day-to-day situations are all you need, but for those situations where you need extra utility, such as maximising grip on harsh terrain, insulating from the cold, or just need to dress to impress; Pawpad Pro has got a solution for you."

Legal disclaimer: Everything in the section ^above^ is lore text created for fun.

12/08/2022 - Rezillo Ryker has changed the default toe pose on the new Rexouium .fbx. The boots toes will no longer line up correctly with the Rexouium toes out of the box. I will aim to get a version up soon with the toes repositioned to match the new pose.

I also plan to provide some custom animations that replace the Rexouium toe animations that do not use the redundant blendshapes. (as least as far as I can tell they are redundant)

Customisable boots for Rexouium avatars

This is my 4th 3D model; made for the Rexouium paws. The model consists of a base mesh with different blendshapes to customise the shape, as well as separate meshes for the laces, buttons, buckles, straps, and a motocross 'shell'.

By using the blendshapes and the separate meshes you can make many different combinations: Thin shoes, thick boots, hock shoe, full shoe, covered claws, exposed claws, claw extensions, lace-up, button-up, belt-up, button and buckle-up, etc...

By default I provide 5 pre-configurations (as shown above in the lore section and in the cover photo gallery), as well as the substance files for them so you can customise them to your liking. (note: laces should be textured in the dedicated laces substance project, due to a issue with the laces UV on the other substance projects).

The Boots Unity package contains the .fbx files for the boots, textures, materials, a scene containing 6 boots (the 5 pre-configs, and a combined version), toggle animations (for toggling between the different pre-configs using the combined version), S-ilent's Filamented shader (Based on Google Filament, provided under the Apache licence), and Dynamic Bone script for Laces (requires end-user to purchase Dynamic Bones package and import to Unity before the boots, otherwise scripts will not import)

Application

I recommend using the provided parent constraints to attach the boots to your avatar, as parent constraints are relatively inexpensive (in terms of impact on performance), and allow you to attach the asset to your avatar without having to unpack the pre-fabs; allowing you to keep all elements of the asset bundled neatly together, rather than buried in your avatar's hierachy tree.

As an additional bonus; using parent constraints means you'd be able to make an animation of taking the boots off and holding them in your hands, maybe even throw them at people... if that takes your fancy.

Simply position the boots with the same coordinates as your rexouium, drag and drop the boots prefab into your rexouium's collection/prefab, click on the boot armature you wish to parent to your rexo armature, and in the inspector menu, specify which armature you want to attach the boot's armature to in the 'sources' section of the parent constraint, and then click the big 'activate' button; do this for each bone in the boot prefab (except the laces).

Once done the boots should adhere to your Rexouium's armature the same way they would if you manually dragged and dropped each bone of the boots into the rexouium hierachy, however without the mess.

Rexouium avatar not provided; you must purchase that yourself at: https://rezilloryker.gumroad.com/l/MYutV

Shaders

I recommend using the shader I provided in the Unity project (Filamented by S-lient (provided under the Apache licence)), however Unity standard shader works fine too. https://gitlab.com/s-ilent/filamented

Licencing:
Please give appropriate credit, such as telling others I (Limit1997) made it, and that they can get it here.

If you're a avatar creator using my assets in a paid commission you must credit me either on the credits plane inside the avatar or make it clear to the client you are using this asset made by me.

Please do not redistribute or resell these to people that have not purchased them. I need the money.

Refunds:
This is a digital product that I have no way of removing from your PC (or other hardware) if you've purchased it, so no refunds.
